Holiday Inn Helsinki West – Ruoholahti among the best
THE INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP AWARDS RECOGNITION
FOR SUCCESS IN 2009
Each year the Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) grants awards to its most successful hotels. The Holiday Inn Helsinki West – Ruoholahti hotel has been granted the ‘2009 Quality Excellence Award’ for customer service. The award winners were selected from over 600 IHG hotels across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels operated by Restel Ltd. have received awards every year since 2004. In the case of the Holiday Inn Helsinki West – Ruoholahti hotel, this is already the third award.
The ‘Quality Excellence Award’ is granted to the hotels given the highest satisfaction points in customer feedback on the IHG scale measuring customer satisfaction. The hotels receiving recognition have placed in the top ten per cent of hotels in their region.
Restel’s Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels have fared well in international comparison, indicating good Finnish professional skill and know-how. The hotels have received awards for quality and customer satisfaction granted by IHG every year beginning in 2004.
2004 and 2005: ‘Quality Excellence Awards’ were received by Holiday Inn Helsinki and Helsinki City Centre
2005: Holiday Inn Helsinki City West and Crowne Plaza Helsinki were granted the ‘Newcomer of the Year’ award the year they were opened
2005: Crowne Plaza also received the ‘Torchbearer Award’
2006: Holiday Inn Helsinki City West received the ‘Quality Excellence’ award
2007: the ‘Quality Excellence’ award recipient was Holiday Inn Oulu
2008: the ‘Quality Excellence’ award was granted to Holiday Inn Helsinki
This year the Crowne Plaza Helsinki also received recognition at the ‘Oscars’ of the travel industry, when the hotel won the World Travel Award as ‘Finland’s Leading Hotel 2009’. This was the second year in a row that the Crowne Plaza received this award.
